This workshop session took place at the ITET 2024 Annual PGCE Conference Inclusion & Inspiration - Education for Social Justice. 12 January 2024. University of Manchester. Rebecca and Sara defined the term ‘funds of knowledge’ and examined examples from research and practice. They drew from two ‘funds of knowledge’ projects which linked the different types of learning happening in homes, schools and communities for primary and secondary pupils. They then discussed the implications and benefits of a ‘funds of knowledge’ approach to curriculum design and activity for teachers, pupils and parents.
