<p dir="ltr">The data provided here is in relation to the following study which is to be submitted for peer review in July: Illness risk representations underlying women’s breast cancer risk appraisals: a theory-informed qualitative analysis.</p><p dir="ltr">This study used secondary interview data to assess the utility of Cameron's Illness Risk Representation model for understanding women's breast cancer risk appraisals following the notification of a clinically-derived risk estimate. The data provided here details the matrices from the thematic framework analysis. Anonymised illustrative quotes are provided, together with the authors coding and description. </p><p dir="ltr"><br></p><p dir="ltr">Due to the sensitivity of the topic, interview transcripts are not available here but can be requested from the lead author under a data sharing agreement.</p>
