A study on the impact of nudging techniques on customisation and usability in visual analytics dashboards:

Encouraging engagement with customisation functionalities,

Enhancing decision-making through social comparison and just-in-time prompts,

Reducing completion time with usability-focused nudges,

Addressing mismatches in graph literacy among users.

Participants interacted with dashboards featuring different nudging techniques. The experiment aimed to understand how nudges affect user behaviour and usability outcomes.

File 1 (independent and dependent variables):
50 participants completed the experiment. For each user, we have data on graph literacy level, effectiveness (correctness of answers), efficiency (task completion time in mm:ss), perceived performance, cognitive load, and engagement with customisation functionalities.

File 2 (interaction data):
This file contains click interaction data collected from 50 participants as they interacted with customisation functionalities in the dashboards under different nudging conditions.
