These data are magnetisation decay profiles and square-wave traces for [Dy(Dtp)2][Al{OC(CF3)3}4], which can be used to extract magnetic relaxation rates as a function of temperature. In this work we evaluate all the instrumental options for measuring such data, and the means of modelling the results. These allow us to quantify the impact of such choices, and indicate a range of protocols that should be followed when measuring and modelling magnetic relaxation data.
