This report offers the outline of a cross-linguistically applicable corpus annotation scheme for information structure, designed to be superimposed on the Grammatical Relations and Animacy in Discourse (GRAID) 7.0 annotation scheme (Haig & Schnell 2014). The resulting scheme is designed to enable corpus annotations for quantitative discourse studies of the interaction of information structure categories (topic, focus, etc) with other morphosyntactic or semantic categories such as argument structure constructions (e.g. differential case marking), constituent order, and animacy.
