A 4-GW wind farm is proposed with a squared layout comprising 16x16 IEA-15-240-RWT turbines for a total of 256 devices. A lateral and streamwise spacing of 7.5D (1.8 km) yields a power density of around 7 MW/km2. An incident angle of 30 degrees with the mean flow direction is set. Two atmospheric stability cases to be considered, namely truly neutral and stable boundary layer conditions. Inflow conditions are as follow: free-stream velocity of 10.5 m/s to have turbines operating below rated power with hub-height wind speed of 8.84 m/s, and with an approximate turbulence intensity of 4-6%.
