Diversity in teaching careers
This workshop session took place at the ITE/ECT 2025 Annual PGCE Conference Inclusion & Inspiration - Education for Social Justice. 17 January 2025. University of Manchester. The overarching aim of the session was to enhance and consolidate the toolkit available to individuals, in order to boost confidence and competence, translating theory into practice.
The subject matter aimed to tackle pre- conceived notions of the career pathways available to qualified teachers and covered the below: ○ Cultivating a growth mindset ○ The link between self-perception and overall resilience ○ How taking a more scientific approach to your teaching practice can lead to continuous improvement. ○ CPD (continuous professional development) it’s importance in building capability ○ Professional collaboration as a key to knowledge and success |
