This report details the output of an independent review conducted by NEF Consulting who worked with Rainbow Clinic (a specialist clinic for pregnancy after stillbirth or perinatal loss) to conduct a Social Return on Investment (SROI) to assess the social impact of the Clinic’s work. Rainbow Clinic was interested in understanding the full impact of its service, and in capturing health, wellbeing and social changes. The purpose was to judge the overall effectiveness of its model and consider any value created in terms of future management of cases. This study is an evaluative assessment of the intangible return on investment made by Rainbow Clinic, for babies, mothers, families and wider stakeholders. This SROI report sets out the method, qualitive research, quantitative data gathered, and other model inputs of the evaluative SROI analysis undertaken. It summarises the findings from the model and draws conclusions and insights related to care, for subsequent pregnancies after stillbirth. The report demonstrates that the Rainbow Clinic generates £6.10 worth of value for every £1 invested.
