Research Associate at The University of Manchester in materials science improving the fuel efficiency of aeroengines.
My current work involves testing new environmental barrier coatings (EBCs) that are destined for future aeroengines to improve the fuel efficiency by increasing the operating temperatures of engines to above 1200 °C and reducing weight.
