José Gustavo Góngora-Goloubintseff completed his PhD in Translation and Intercultural Studies at the University of Manchester. His thesis, entitled "Translation in Wikipedia: A Praxeological Study of Normativity, Negotiation and Automation across Four Language Communities", was funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC). Góngora-Goloubintseff attained Fellowship of Advance HE (FHEA) in September 2020. His research interests include Wikipedia, volunteer translation, multimodal discourse analysis and practice theory.
