Using diverse stories to teach across the curriculum

This workshop session took place at the ITET 2024 Annual PGCE Conference Inclusion & Inspiration - Education for Social Justice. 12 January 2024. University of Manchester. Stories are a powerful teaching tool to engage students in learning. The session was a space to develop practical ideas for how to use diverse stories to teach across the curriculum, no matter what your subject. A panel of alumni experts with an interest in developing knowledge, understanding and awareness of diverse stories, led the session with examples of teaching from their own practice, as well as providing inspiration for how you can develop your own teaching to include diverse stories and how this can be impactful.
